Creating positive change in order to live vibrantly and enjoy the next chapter of life!
Do you feel disconnected, out of balance? Have you lost track of your goals and perhaps yourself in the midst of a busy life? Are you ready to live with a sense of alignment and vitality?
I work with people who are in the midst, or have recently gone through, a life transition to reconnect with their goals, spirit, body, and the community around them.
I am a Transitional Well Being Coach. Whether that transition is big or small, I am here to help you move confidently through change. Whether it be a change in location, career, family situation, aging or health; I am here to help you find balance and reconnect to living and feeling your best through setting and attaining clear goals.
With or without movement or fitness, I provide a safe space for self-reflection and time to take care of yourself in a busy life. I offer the opportunity to pause, self-reflect and realign with your goals, to live fully in the life you have at this moment and looking towards the future.
A Life in Transition
Nearly 20 years ago, I moved from New York City to Bern, Switzerland to be with my then partner. I worked hard and struggled to create a life in this new place and new language - to fit in and build a sense of community as I raised children here. While experiencing the ending of my marriage I was forced to ask myself some hard questions: Do I stay in this country? What does my life look like now that I am no longer with my partner? How will I navigate new financial expectations? And of course some heavier questions like: Do I belong here? Am I ruining my children's lives? ... The list goes on!
In the end, I dug deep and remained in this second country to create yet another phase of life here. And I shine with pride everyday at the beauty of my life. Not perfection! Rather a quiet beauty, like a gorgeous sunrise. It is still very much a work in progress, but I am here and I am finding my way!
Throughout my life, I have struggled with body image and appreciation. My work as a professional dancer put a tremendous amount of pressure on me to meet specific physical expectations. As I aged, had babies, and transitioned out of the performance world my relationship to my physical body changed and I had to find a new way to appreciate it. I slowly developed more confidence as I worked find an attitude of wellness and gratitude for my body and abilities.
My biggest life lessons often find their roots in the idea that you can’t be everything to everyone and nothing to yourself. In order to take care of others we have to take care of ourselves. In order to step in to the world around us, we must first be connected to the world within. This is the foundation of my coaching approach.
